My first fine art showing was Party Animals, where I cast rescued exotic pets as house guests in an 80's house party to support WWF Canada.
Since then, my daughter and I have created Homecoming. This series enabled us to spend time together and process our feelings around Covid. The Homecoming series features a young traveller revisiting our city. Come home...
MEET THE ARTIST
A Canadian artist who thinks you're awesome.
I love all the weird little things that come together to create something you will remember, so I'm always trying to throw myself into situations that support the people and places I feel deserve to be celebrated. The intimate, the lively, the powerful, and the silly; I love people who aren't afraid to feel something. I love when you aren't afraid of props, and high-fashion styling, and grungy old bars, and hidden jungles, and I want to be there with you, carving out something that means something to you.
Shooting for good people is important to me - from sexy fashion brands with ethical practices, to charities I believe in - when we can connect on an idea we are all excited about- great things happen.
Presently hiding out behind a camera somewhere, pulling someone out of their comfort zone. Likely surrounded by cats and cake, blasting the Mary Poppins soundtrack.
New pottery line dropping soon :)
We feel very fortunate that we are able to be home hanging with our daughter right now, and would like to pay it forward with the art.
We will be donating 10% of all sales to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success. This Canadian organization relies on donations to get warm meals to children in need.
